Introducing the “World Eco-Romo Campaign x Kobe City SDGs” initiative, with the aim of promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), clothing collection boxes will be installed at 13 municipal subway stations in Kobe. This campaign will run for 78 days from January 10th (Friday) to March 28th (Friday). The collected clothing will be reused and recycled, and the proceeds generated will be donated to support children in Kobe.
The term “Eco-Romo” is a coined term combining “Ecology” and “Clothing (Romo).” By depositing clothing items into the “Eco-Romo Collection Boxes” installed at various subway stations, the collected clothing will be carefully assessed for reuse or recycling, ultimately contributing to supporting children. The donations from this campaign will go to the “Kobe City Foster Care Facility Network.”
The collection boxes, as shown in the image, allow for the deposit of reusable clothing items starting from just one piece. These boxes will be situated at nine stations along the West Shin-Yamate Line, such as Sannomiya, Minatogawa Koen, Nada, Gakuen Toshi, Nishinomiya-chuo, and four stations along the coastline, including Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae and Harborland.
The campaign period will be from January 10th, 2025 (Friday) at 10:00 AM to March 28th, 2025 (Friday) at 10:00 AM. The clothing collection boxes will be located at 13 Kobe municipal subway stations. Accepted items include reusable clothing, with guidelines provided for certain exclusions such as accessories, household goods, and undergarments.
As you tidy up during your spring cleaning or daily outings, consider making a difference by easily contributing your unused clothing to this noble cause. It’s a simple yet impactful way to support the community while also promoting sustainability. For more information and related links, visit the official website of the World Corporation.
