A devastating earthquake in Myanmar has claimed the lives of at least 15 Nepali citizens. The tragic news was shared by Badri Keshi, the President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), who expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the natural disaster.
Keshi also announced that the NRNA would be providing financial support of NPR 1 million through NRNA Coordination Committee Myanmar to assist in the relief efforts for the affected Nepali citizens. Furthermore, he called upon all NRNA chapters worldwide to increase fundraising efforts to support those in need.
In response to the earthquake that also affected Thai and Myanmarese nationals, Keshi emphasized the importance of global solidarity and cooperation. He urged all NRNA chapters to contribute to relief efforts and support the affected communities. The NRNA NCC Myanmar has pledged immediate financial aid of NPR 1 million for Nepali citizens in Myanmar, showcasing a commitment to help those in distress.
Ramesh Khatri, representing Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the news, stating, “The efforts of NRNA in providing relief to Nepali citizens affected by the earthquake in Myanmar are commendable. The call for global solidarity and fundraising initiatives demonstrates a united front in supporting those in need during times of crisis.”
