Twenty students who were pursuing their studies at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, India have returned to Nepal amidst the ongoing pandemic. The students had been studying at the institution located in Odisha, India. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to travel restrictions and safety concerns, the students made the decision to return to their home country.

The group of students, who had been studying at the institute since last Falgun 6, arrived back in Nepal on Thursday morning. The decision to return was likely influenced by the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic situation and the challenges of continuing their studies abroad during these times.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the matter. He mentioned that the return of these students highlights the impact of the global health crisis on education and international students. Khatri emphasized the importance of ensuring the well-being and safety of students studying abroad, especially during such challenging times.
