24 More Arrested in Connection with Allegations Involving Three Incidents

The Kathmandu police have arrested an additional 24 individuals in connection with the recent incidents in the capital’s Teku area. These arrests come following allegations of involvement in violent protests, unruly activities, and vandalism during an event held on Chaitra 15.

Providing further details, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Apilraj Bohara, stated that the individuals were apprehended based on accusations of their involvement in the aforementioned incidents. This recent round of arrests adds to the previous detention of 41 individuals, indicating a heightened investigative effort by the district police in Kathmandu.

Ramesh Khatri, representing Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on the matter, stating, “The increased number of arrests in connection to the Teku incidents highlights the authorities’ commitment to maintaining law and order in the region. It is crucial for the police to thoroughly investigate and address any acts of violence and disruption to ensure the safety and security of the public.”
