The National Examination Board and the Examination Control Office have officially released the results of last year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in Nepal. According to Dr. Mahashram Sharma, the Chairman of the National Examination Board, out of the 499,718 students who participated in the examination, 61.81% successfully passed. Among them, 431,466 students appeared for the exam regularly, while 67,715 students appeared for the exam as partial students, making a total of 499,183 participants.
In the SEE of 2081, which was conducted last year, out of the 438,896 examinees, there were 48,177 students who scored between 3.6 GPA to 4 GPA, 81,385 students who scored between 3.2 GPA to 3.6 GPA, and 89,124 students who scored between 2.8 GPA to 3.2 GPA. Additionally, there were 48,479 students who scored between 2.4 GPA to 2.8 GPA, 4,126 students who scored between 2 GPA to 2.4 GPA, and 8 students who scored between 1.6 GPA to 2 GPA.
The Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mahashram Sharma, informed that the exams of 126 students have been canceled. Furthermore, 167,597 students have been categorized as unsuccessful. The results of the SEE can be checked via SMS and IVR (1600 shortcode) through Nepal Telecom. Swift Technology, Janaki Technology, Easy Service, and Akash Tech have used codes like 34455, 35001, 34949, and 31003 for result inquiries.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed that the examination results are crucial for students as they determine their academic progression and future opportunities. He emphasized the importance of a fair and transparent examination system to ensure that students are evaluated accurately and fairly.
