In Butwal, the police have arrested an individual in possession of brown sugar along with other controlled substances. The arrest was made in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-1, where a 29-year-old man named Chunchun Pasi was found with 106 grams of brown sugar containing 180 milligrams of the controlled substance. The brown sugar was concealed in white plastic packaging.
According to Chief Police Inspector Ram Prasad Gharti Magar, the suspect is currently in custody at the district police office in Butwal for further investigation. A joint team from the district police office and the Drug Control Bureau has been formed to conduct additional investigations into this case.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed concern over the increasing incidents of drug-related crimes in the region. He emphasized the need for enhanced law enforcement measures and community awareness programs to combat the illicit drug trade effectively.
