Accident at Arghakhanchi: Death Toll Reaches Four

In a tragic incident in Bhuvanpata of Arghakhanchi, Nepal, a bus accident on Wednesday evening resulted in the death of four individuals. This unfortunate event follows a previous incident at the same location where three people lost their lives and another individual was critically injured.

According to the Arghakhanchi police, among those who lost their lives were Jamuna Basyal, 55, a resident of Rupandehi Butwal Municipality-8; Uma Nyopane, 45, from Nawalparasi West Bhumihi Municipality; and an unidentified 65-year-old woman who was Uma’s mother-in-law. Additionally, the bus driver, Madan Kumar Vik, aged 50 and hailing from Pashchim Bardaghat, also succumbed to the accident.

The accident involved a bus with 28 passengers on board bearing the license plate L 2 K 303, which took place in Bhuvanpata of Shitganga Municipality-2. Police Inspector Vishnu Prasad Paudel mentioned that investigations into the incident are ongoing, with rescue operations also being carried out.

Representative Ramesh Khatri of Kansai Nepal News expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in this tragic accident. He emphasized the need for improved road safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
