A special edition “City Bus Bento” is set to be released in March 2025 to express gratitude towards the “Nishigami Depot” scheduled for closure. This unique bento is a tribute from Awajimaya to commemorate the end of operations at the Nishigami Depot.
In light of the closure of the Nishigami Depot, a farewell event titled “Sayonara Nishigami Depot” will be held on February 24, 2025, at the Subway Nishigami Depot. The event promises various activities, details of which have been covered in previous articles.
On the event day, besides selling the “City Bus Bento” next to the model vehicle, there will also be giveaways of Kobe City Bus souvenirs.
Post March 1, the bento will be available for regular purchase at Awajimaya stores.

For those interested in purchasing, the bento will be available for a limited time at the “Sayonara Nishigami Depot” event venue and Awajimaya stores starting from March 1, 2025. Priced at ¥1,200 (including tax), the bento comes with a limited edition Kobe City Bus souvenir for early purchasers.
As the event giveaways are on a first-come, first-served basis, it is advisable for enthusiasts to act promptly. Even if unable to attend the event, individuals can still purchase the bento at Awajimaya stores.
