A recent agreement has been signed between Kathmandu University in Nepal and Siam University in Thailand to enhance higher education studies in subjects like glaciology, traditional architecture, and environmental science. The agreement involves Thai students coming to Nepal to further their education in these fields.

During the first official visit to Thailand, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and his counterpart, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, signed the agreement in the presence of other officials. The signing ceremony was attended by Kathmandu University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, and Siam University’s President, Prof. Chaiyot Monyakul.

According to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Wagle, the agreement will facilitate the exchange of students from Thailand to Nepal for studies in glaciology, traditional architecture, and environmental science due to the conducive environment created for them in Nepal.
