Kathmandu – The United States has repatriated an additional 112 Indian migrants. The US Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster aircraft landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport around 10 PM on February 16, bringing back the Indian nationals. This marks the third phase of repatriation for Indian citizens in the past ten days.
According to reports from India Today, the individuals repatriated hailed from various states, including 44 from Haryana, 33 from Gujarat, 31 from Punjab, two from Uttar Pradesh, and one each from Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. This recent operation follows a previous repatriation flight that brought back 104 Indian migrants on February 15 and 116 on February 5 to Amritsar.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing repatriation efforts, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in ensuring the safe return of stranded individuals to their home countries. He commended the collaborative efforts between the US and Nepal in facilitating these repatriation flights, emphasizing the significance of international cooperation during these challenging times.
