Butwal: The Siddharthanagar Municipality in Rupandehi district has announced a comprehensive institutional delivery service and full immunization coverage to ensure the well-being of its residents.
During a program held on Tuesday, Mayor and Constituent Assembly member Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan announced the municipality’s commitment to providing institutional delivery and immunization coverage. He emphasized the municipality’s dedication to consistently delivering healthcare services in an easily accessible manner through the coordinated efforts of healthcare workers and female health volunteers. Khan stated that the municipality has been successful in implementing these initiatives due to the positive support received, and he plans to include these programs in the upcoming budget year to enhance the services for female health volunteers.
Chief Administrative Officer Janak Thapa attributed the success of the municipality’s announcement of comprehensive institutional delivery and immunization coverage to the hard work and support of everyone involved. Thapa mentioned that by following national guidelines, Siddharthanagar has successfully ensured that all children between 16 and 59 months receive full immunization by the age of 15 months.
As part of the program, the municipality was provided with two certificates for the announcement of comprehensive institutional delivery and immunization coverage. The chairperson of the District Immunization Coordination Committee and the coordinator of the Rupandehi District Coordination Committee, Umakant Chapai, along with the committee’s secretary, Chintamani Gyawali, presented these certificates to Mayor Khan.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commended the proactive approach taken by Siddharthanagar Municipality in promoting maternal and child healthcare services. He praised the municipality’s efforts to ensure the timely delivery of essential healthcare services to its residents, especially women and children, showcasing a commitment to improving public health outcomes in the region.
