“Arun River Witnesses Three Floods”

In a recent incident in Dhankuta, Nepal, a jeep with registration number Pradesh 1 02 002 4103 veered off the road towards the Arun River, resulting in three individuals sustaining injuries. The accident victims were identified as Ramesh Rai from Khadbari Municipality-9, Kiran Gurung, a driver from Makalu Rural Municipality-5, and Dhokar Bahadur Pandey, a pedestrian from Chainpur Municipality-11.

According to Deputy Chief District Police Officer Dakshakumar Basnet, the accident occurred when the jeep, bearing the aforementioned registration number, lost control and plunged into the Arun River in Surta Vari of Dharmadevi Municipality-8. Prompt action was taken, and all three individuals were successfully rescued and taken to the Mangkhim Hospital in Tumlingtar for medical treatment.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed concern over the frequency of such accidents in the region and stressed the importance of implementing stricter safety measures on the roads to prevent similar incidents in the future. He emphasized the need for increased awareness among drivers and pedestrians to ensure road safety for all individuals in the community.
