Bagmati Conquered by Crisis: Sabhapati Cup Triumphs Amid Adversity

In a recent sporting event, the A Division League club Sankata secured victory over the Bagmati Province Loktantrik Khelkud Sangh in a thrilling match held at the Dasharath Rangashala in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. The match, which ended in a 4-3 win for Sankata after a tiebreaker, saw players from both teams displaying exceptional skill and determination.

The game was a nail-biter, with the teams deadlocked in a goalless draw after the regulation 90 minutes. The match then proceeded to a tiebreaker, where Sankata emerged victorious, clinching the title of the President’s Cup. Along with the prestigious title, Sankata also walked away with a prize money of NPR 26 lakhs, while Bagmati Province received NPR 13 lakhs for their commendable performance.

Key players from Sankata such as Lakshu Thapa, Sam Carlo, Deep Karki, and Sunil Khadka showcased their talent by scoring crucial goals during the match. On the other hand, Bagmati Province’s New Lama, Fode Fofana, and Senjal Alex managed to contribute to their team’s score with their goals.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his admiration for the players’ dedication and sportsmanship displayed during the intense match.
