The Bagmati Province government has recently presented a budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/2083. The Minister of Economic Affairs, Kundan Khatri, unveiled a budget of NPR 67.47 billion in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly on Sunday.
Of this amount, NPR 26.46 billion has been allocated for current expenditures, while NPR 41.43 billion has been earmarked for capital expenditures by Minister Khatri. The budget allocation stands at 38.6% for current expenditures and 61.4% for capital expenditures, reflecting the government’s focus on infrastructure and development projects.
Minister Khatri explained that the sources of revenue for the budget include internal revenue, various grants, and financial transfers from the federal government. This budget is expected to drive economic growth and development in the Bagmati Province in the coming fiscal year.
Ramesh Khatri, representing Kansai Nepal News, commented that the budget allocation reflects a strategic approach towards balancing current and capital expenditures, which is crucial for sustainable economic growth in the region.
