In Bhadrapur, the second edition of the Bhadrapur Jhapa Gold Cup 2081 saw Bangladesh’s Kaurn Bazaar Progress Society being defeated in the first semifinal by the host team, Bhadrapur Blazers, who secured their spot in the final.

The match, which took place at Mechi Rangashala on Tuesday, ended with Blazers defeating Kaurn Bazaar in a thrilling tiebreaker with a score of 4-3. Satyam Sharma, Arman Bidoŋ, Divas Urau, and Abayo were the goal scorers for Blazers, while Kudadip Karki missed the crucial penalty kick for them.

On the other side, Kaurn Bazaar’s S Sillah and Sidostonal found the back of the net, whereas Yousuf MB and Ibrahim missed their penalty kicks. The game ended in a 1-1 draw after the designated 90 minutes, leading to a decision through a tiebreaker. Satyam Sharma’s goal in the 25th minute of extra time initially put Blazers in the lead, but Kaurn Bazaar’s Sakil equalized in the 62nd minute.

Blazers will now face Jhapa-11 and Bhutan’s Daga United FC in the second semifinal on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to the final match. The champions of the tournament will receive a cash prize of NPR 13 lakhs, while the runners-up will be awarded NPR 7 lakhs.
