Kathmandu – Recently, 42 affiliated colleges of Tribhuvan University, along with more than 250 colleges, have successfully conducted student union elections. Out of the 22 affiliated colleges in the Kathmandu Valley, elections were held in 13 colleges.

Student union elections are a significant event in the academic calendar, providing students with the opportunity to actively participate in the governance of their institutions. These elections not only foster leadership skills among students but also play a crucial role in representing student voices in decision-making processes.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, highlighted the importance of student union elections in promoting student engagement and democratic values within educational institutions. He emphasized that such elections are essential for nurturing future leaders and ensuring that student perspectives are considered in campus policies and activities.
