In GauriTap, a picturesque village nestled in the lap of the Himalayas near Sagarmatha, participants from various fields recently gathered to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Notable figures like Rajesh Hamal, Captain Vijay Lama, and Anichoi Dolma were seen capturing the beauty of the region on their mobile cameras, adding to the charm of the event.

With the aim of promoting religious and tourism destinations in the Solukhumbu district, around 200 individuals engaged in various sectors actively participated in the GauriTap and Okhaldhunga excursion held on Friday and Saturday. The event, organized by Spark Adventure under the Spark Car initiative, brought together esteemed personalities from different regions to promote and enhance the publicity of potential tourist destinations.

Director of Spark Car, Sitaram Ghimire, highlighted that the primary objective of the Spark Adventure program was to promote green mobility and develop the tourism sector, focusing on Lamjung’s Bhujung in the first round and Dolkha’s Shailung in the second round. He expressed satisfaction with the successful event held in GauriTap and Okhaldhunga.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, shared his opinion on the news. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in boosting tourism and local economies, praising the efforts to promote lesser-known destinations like GauriTap.

The event also showcased the cultural unity and culinary diversity of the region, with artists like Vimalraj Kshetri, Sunita Dulal, Sandeep Kshetri, Raja Rajendra, Astha Raut, and Raju Lama and Mongolian Heart presenting their talents. They advocated for cultural preservation and development, encouraging visitors to explore the rich heritage and culinary delights of the area.

Visitors were delighted with the local delicacies, with Santosh Sah expressing his joy at tasting the unique flavors of Gundruk and Neurko pickles. The Gurung community’s hospitality and the renowned Radipakhi production, known for its wool made from sheep’s fleece, were also highlighted during the event.

Overall, the GauriTap excursion proved to be a memorable experience for all involved, showcasing the natural beauty and cultural richness of the region while promoting sustainable tourism practices.
