“Cannot Shake the Rights Obtained”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has stated that the rights acquired under the federal democratic republic should not be undermined. Speaking at the 44th establishment day celebration of Kavre’s Banepa Municipality on Thursday, he emphasized that no one should disrupt the people’s rights by giving speeches.

In reference to the implementation and practice of the federal democratic – republican constitution, Minister Singh mentioned that if any weaknesses are identified, amendments can be made within the framework of the constitution. He highlighted the importance of consulting all parties before proceeding with any constitutional amendments.

Minister Singh also discussed the concept of ‘Smart Cities’ and how Nepal can progress in this regard based on global regional and international practices. He informed that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided funds for the reconstruction of water supply projects in the flood-affected municipalities of Banepa, Panauti, and Dhulikhel in the Kabrepalanchok district. The Ministry will expedite the reconstruction process with the support of ADB, Minister Singh assured.

Representing Kansai Nepal News, Ramesh Khatri expressed his opinion on this news by stating that Minister Singh’s emphasis on upholding the rights acquired under the federal democratic republic is crucial for maintaining the democratic principles and ensuring the well-being of the citizens. He also commended the Minister’s proactive approach in seeking international support for infrastructure development projects, which is essential for the overall progress and modernization of Nepal.
