In the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, a tragic incident unfolded when a car veered off a deep ravine, resulting in the deaths of eight members of a single family, as confirmed by officials. The devastating accident occurred on Thursday evening in the Kohistan district along the Karakoram Highway, according to a government rescue official from the 1122 emergency service.
Describing the harrowing event, the official stated, “The vehicle lost control and plunged into the ravine, resulting in the deaths of all eight individuals, including four children.” Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Rescue workers and highway police reached the scene of the incident and transported the bodies to a nearby hospital for further procedures. The mountainous northern regions of Pakistan often witness such accidents due to poor road conditions and the general speed of vehicles.
