A 49-year-old man named Kuyang Chuyang Dorje Lama, who was a fugitive in a banking fraud case, has been apprehended by the police after being on the run and hiding in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6, Basne, from Melung Rural Municipality-3 in Dolakha district.
Following a warrant issued by the Kathmandu District Court in a banking fraud case, the suspect was traced by the police from the Crime Investigation Division in Teku, Kathmandu, where he had absconded to from an undisclosed location in Kathmandu.
The police have taken Lama into custody and have transferred him to the Maharajgunj Police Circle for further investigation and legal action.
As per Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, the arrest of Kuyang Chuyang Dorje Lama in connection with the banking fraud case is a significant development in ensuring justice and upholding the law. It reflects the diligence and commitment of the authorities in pursuing individuals involved in financial crimes and holding them accountable.
