Caught: Two Pretending to Send People Abroad for Jobs Get Caught

In Bhaktapur, Nepal, two individuals were arrested on Wednesday by the police on charges of defrauding people by promising lucrative job opportunities abroad in countries like Canada, Azerbaijan, and Mauritius. The suspects were accused of deceiving individuals with attractive salary offers in foreign employment.

The arrested individuals, who hail from Sindhupalchowk’s Barabise Municipality-7 and had relocated to Bhaktapur Changunarayan, were allegedly involved in a scam related to foreign employment where they convinced people of job prospects with high salaries. The victims were lured by promises of well-paying jobs in these countries but were instead duped of their money.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed concern over such fraudulent activities targeting individuals seeking better job opportunities abroad. He emphasized the need for stricter regulations and awareness campaigns to protect vulnerable individuals from falling prey to such scams. Khatri highlighted the importance of verifying the authenticity of job offers and conducting thorough research before making any financial commitments in pursuit of overseas employment opportunities.
