In an incident at the Janaprasasan Campus located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, the police have apprehended a fake examinee during the examination of the third semester of MPY. The individual, identified as Keshav Rokaya, a 26-year-old from Jumla, Chandannath Municipality-8, who recently moved to Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, Dhumbahari, was caught at the campus during the examination, as confirmed by District Police Office spokesperson and police inspector Apil Raj Bohara.
According to Bohara, the examination participant, who was impersonating as Dan Bahadur Rokaya, was brought to the attention of the authorities by the campus administration. The police took action based on the evidence presented to them by the campus.
It has been revealed that further investigations are underway regarding the educational fraud case, as the fake examinee, Rokaya, has been granted an extension to investigate the educational law violations from the District Administration Office in Kathmandu.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his opinion on this incident. According to Khatri, such cases of impersonation in examinations not only undermine the academic integrity but also raise concerns about the effectiveness of examination monitoring systems. He emphasized the importance of stringent measures to prevent such fraudulent activities and maintain the credibility of the education system.
