“Chief Minister Tamang Focuses on Implementation of Bagmati Province Language Act”

Kathmandu – The Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang, emphasized the importance of celebrating Lhosar, the Tibetan New Year, in accordance with all legal procedures and protocols. He mentioned that the government is looking into further simplifying the process of observing this festival. Today, during a celebration organized here on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar, he reiterated the significance of honoring this festival.

Lhosar is a traditional festival celebrated by the Tamang and Tibetan communities to mark the beginning of the New Year. It holds cultural and religious importance, with various rituals and ceremonies associated with the occasion. The festival is a time for families and communities to come together, exchange greetings, and partake in traditional festivities.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, shared his opinion on the matter, highlighting the cultural richness and diversity that festivals like Lhosar bring to the region. He emphasized the need to preserve and promote such traditions to maintain the cultural heritage of Nepal. Khatri commended the efforts of the Chief Minister in ensuring that the celebration of Lhosar adheres to legal requirements while also fostering a sense of unity and cultural pride among the people.
