“Chief Minister’s Inspection at Janakpur Private Hospital, Four Hospitals Closed”

Janakpur: Chief Minister of Province 2, Satish Kumar Singh, continued his inspection of private hospitals on Sunday to ensure accountability. Accompanied by the Health and Population Minister Shatrudhan Prasad Singh and ministry officials, the team visited nine hospitals for inspection.

The team led by Chief Minister Singh conducted inspections at various hospitals in Janakpur, including Krishna Medical and Technical Research Center in Brahmapuri, Geeta Shree ENT Specialty Clinic and Navjeevan Hospital in Brahmapuri, Vaidehi Hospital in Sakheta Nagar, Janak Memorial Hospital, Janakpur Model Hospital, Janakpur Godavari Hospital near Ramanand Chowk, Krishna Hospital in Prahlad, and Advance City Scan.

Among the inspected hospitals, Janak Memorial Hospital, Janakpur Model Hospital, Janakpur Godavari Hospital, and Krishna Hospital in Prahlad were found to be closed. Instructions were given to Krishna Medical and Technical Research Center in Brahmapuri to manage their administration immediately. Geeta Shree ENT Specialty Clinic in Brahmapuri, which was not registered, was summoned to the Chief Minister’s office on Monday at 11 a.m.

Similarly, Navjeevan Hospital in Brahmapuri, which had not undergone renovation in the last four years, and Vaidehi Hospital in Sakheta Nagar, which had not been renovated for two years, were also summoned to the Chief Minister’s office on Monday at 11 a.m.

Advance City Scan, which had not been renovated for two years and six months, was also inspected. Janakpur Model Hospital, which was closed from Sunday, had its managers summoned to the Chief Minister’s office on Saturday and Sunday to provide footage of the facilities. Santosh Thakur, Secretary of the Hospital Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Health and Population, informed about the inspections.

Despite being closed, concerns were raised about the ongoing treatment of patients in the hospitals. Thakur stated that even in the closed state of the hospitals, the directors were summoned with footage to address concerns about patient care.

In this context, Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News, shared his opinion, stating that the continued inspections by Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh demonstrate a commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in the healthcare sector. He commended the proactive approach taken by the government to address issues in private hospitals and ensure the well-being of patients.
