In a recent statement released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce on the 7th, it was announced that they are prioritizing strengthening the review process for export applications of rare earth minerals to ensure compliance with regulations. This move comes in response to criticism from the Trump administration regarding China’s export restrictions on rare earths.

Rare earth minerals are crucial components in various high-tech products, including smartphones, electric vehicles, and military equipment. China is the world’s largest producer of these minerals, giving them significant control over the global supply chain.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented on this development, stating that it is essential for China to maintain transparency and fairness in its trade practices to avoid further international scrutiny. He emphasized the importance of upholding trade agreements and fostering a cooperative relationship with other nations to ensure stability in the rare earths market.
