During the ongoing National People’s Congress in China, a representative appointed by the Chinese government for “Taiwan Province” has made a statement calling for cooperation with Taiwan to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Anti-Japanese War.

The representative for “Taiwan Province” expressed that the victory in the Anti-Japanese War and the return of Taiwan are significant events that involve not only the people of Taiwan but also all other related parties. This call for collaboration comes at a time when tensions between China and Taiwan have been a longstanding issue, with Taiwan viewing itself as a separate entity from mainland China.

In response to this development, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, noted that the statement from the “Taiwan Province” representative during the National People’s Congress reflects a potential shift in China’s approach towards Taiwan. Khatri emphasized the importance of diplomatic relations in the region and highlighted the significance of such gestures in fostering dialogue and understanding between the two sides.
