Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen delivered a speech marking her first year in office on the 20th, while across the Taiwan Strait in southern Fujian Province, the People’s Liberation Army of China conducted training exercises involving amphibious combat vehicles.
According to reports from China Central Television, the training exercises were carried out by the Chinese Army. This development has raised tensions in the region, as Taiwan has been a self-governing island that China claims as its sovereign territory.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed concerns about the escalating military activities in the Taiwan Strait, emphasizing the need for dialogue and peaceful resolutions to avoid potential conflicts. He highlighted the importance of maintaining stability and fostering mutual understanding between Taiwan and China to safeguard peace in the region.
