A tragic incident has occurred in the Kyupar area of Manang’s Chame Rural Municipality-3, where a Chinese worker has lost his life due to an accident involving a tipper. The deceased worker, identified as Yu Yong, was employed in the construction of the Manang-Marsyangdi Hydropower Project. The incident took place within the compound of the project’s office.
The Manang-Marsyangdi Hydropower Project, also known as Bureau 7, has been a significant endeavor in the region, aiming to harness hydropower resources for sustainable energy production. The construction activities have been ongoing to develop the infrastructure necessary for the project’s successful implementation.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate demise of Yu Yong. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety measures in such construction projects to prevent similar incidents in the future. Khatri highlighted the need for thorough investigations to determine the cause of the accident and ensure accountability to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
