The highly anticipated climbing season for Mount Fuji kicked off as the most frequented trail was unveiled on Tuesday. Mount Fuji, standing at 3,776 meters tall, attracts thousands of climbers every year during the official climbing season from early July to early September. The Yoshida Trail, which is the most popular route to the summit, is the first to open to the public, signaling the beginning of the climbing season.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his view on the fee increase and its potential impact on climbers and the environment. He highlighted the importance of balancing accessibility for climbers with the need to protect the fragile ecosystem of Mount Fuji.
