In a tragic incident in Ghyanlekh Rural Municipality-4, Sindhuli, a 46-year-old man named Yug Bahadur Syangtan was confirmed dead after being shot. Witnesses reported that Yug Bahadur was involved in a serious altercation before being treated and succumbing to his injuries.
According to the District Police Office, the shooting occurred on Wednesday afternoon while Yug Bahadur was cutting grass in the jungle and got into a serious altercation. The police inspector Govindaraj Kafle confirmed the fatality resulting from the gunshot.
After being critically injured in the altercation, Yug Bahadur was receiving treatment at the KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, where he unfortunately passed away at 8 am this morning. The police initiated an investigation into the incident under the command of Inspector Tikaraj Baral from the local police office in Bastipur.
Representative Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News expressed his deep concern about the incident, stating, “It is saddening to receive the news of Yug Bahadur’s demise this morning after undergoing treatment at the hospital. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.”
In further investigations, the police have arrested Bal Bahadur Moktan, 25, and Lekh Bahadur Gole, 41, who were present at the scene of the incident. The police coordinated with the Gausala Police Post and apprehended the suspects coming from Kathmandu for questioning.
The suspects were found to have ventured into the jungle to engage in hunting activities with firearms, which led to the fatal shooting of Yug Bahadur Syangtan. The authorities are looking into the involvement of other individuals in the incident as the investigation progresses.
