The leader of the Nepali Congress, Sachetan Shyam Ghimire, has demanded the expulsion of a Member of Parliament from the National Independence Party during the ongoing session of the House of Representatives.

During today’s session, the members of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party wore black ribbons in protest against human trafficking. In response, Congress leader Ghimire insisted that the National Independence Party MP had violated the decorum by not wearing the prescribed attire and called for their expulsion from the House.

Expressing his stance, Ghimire questioned the attire of some honorable members in the House, highlighting the importance of adhering to the prescribed dress code and maintaining the dignity of the parliament.

Opinion from Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News: “The demand for expulsion of the National Independence Party MP by the Nepali Congress leader raises questions about parliamentary decorum and dress code enforcement. It underscores the need for all members to adhere to established norms and uphold the sanctity of the legislative body.”
