Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, the party spokesperson, expressed concerns about the appointment, stating that it should not be delayed. The Bipin Chandra Foundation and the Parliamentary Research and Development Institute organized a special dialogue program on the topic of “Priorities of the upcoming budget,” where Dr. Mahat emphasized the need for a competent and non-partisan individual to be appointed as Governor.

Representing Kansai Nepal News, Ramesh Khatri shared his perspective on the matter, stating, “It is unfortunate for delays to occur in appointing a Governor. Someone who places the economy at the forefront and works impartially should be appointed as Governor.”

Dr. Mahat further highlighted the importance of a balanced and well-managed budget for the upcoming fiscal year, stressing the need for transparency in revenue and expenditure details. In response to the current economic challenges, experts like Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel and Dr. Pushparaj Kandel highlighted the need for policy and structural reforms to guide the economy in the right direction. They emphasized the importance of prioritizing investments in key sectors like education and agricultural production to drive economic growth.

Dr. Raghuraj Kafle, the Executive Director of the Health Insurance Board, emphasized the importance of addressing development indicators through the upcoming budget. He recommended enhancing social security measures and encouraging private sector investments to boost expenditure capacity.
