In Kathmandu, a court in the United States has delivered a verdict today in a case against the newly elected President Donald Trump. The case involved allegations that Trump paid money to a former porn star to keep quiet about their relationship and attempted to suppress evidence. The court cleared all 34 accused in this matter.
Presiding over the verdict, Judge Marchen expressed his wish for Trump’s success in his second term, saying, “I hope your second term will be successful.”
The court’s decision to acquit Trump without any conditions means that he will not face any further consequences in this case, such as fines or jail time.
Previously, an appeal by Trump to halt the trial was dismissed by the appellate court. The decision to reject Trump’s request to stop the trial was made by the judges based on a majority decision during the debate on whether to accept or reject Trump’s request.
Trump is set to take the oath of office for the second time as the President of the United States in January 20 next year.
