The Supreme Court has rejected the registration of a writ petition filed against the order to not appoint Dr. Vishwa Paudel as the Governor, which was issued by the High Court. Spokesperson Achyut Kuinkel informed that the High Court’s decision was upheld by Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla on Tuesday.

Lawyers Pratibha Upreti and Vishal Thapa had raised questions about the qualifications of economist Dr. Paudel, demanding not to appoint him as the Governor. They had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court challenging the order to not appoint him. The petition was filed through the Supreme Court administration against the decision made by the High Court.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, stated that this decision by the Supreme Court highlights the importance of upholding legal procedures and respecting the decisions made by the judiciary in the country. He emphasized the need for transparency and adherence to the rule of law in all government appointments to ensure accountability and fairness.
