In Janakpur, Nepal, a tragic incident occurred when a passenger bus collided with a cyclist, resulting in the death of an elderly man. The victim, identified as 70-year-old Rabindra Mandal from Sinurajoda in Lakshmipur Municipality Ward No. 1, tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident.
The incident took place on the Lakshmipur-Dhalkebar Highway, a 6-lane road section in Janakpur. The collision occurred around 7:15 pm when a bus traveling from Janakpur to Kathmandu hit the cyclist, Mandal. Barun Bahadur Singh, the spokesperson for the Dhanusha District Police Office, confirmed that the bus with registration number Ba 3 Kha 3441 was involved in the accident, leading to Mandal’s untimely demise.
Currently, the bus driver and the vehicle are under police control as investigations into the incident continue.
