A tragic accident in Sunsari district, Nepal, has claimed the life of an assistant inspector of police. The incident occurred at Futeeni Chowk in Duhabi Municipality-3, as Ramesh Khatri, a 30-year-old on-duty officer at the Udayapur District Police Office, was en route from Gai Ghata to Biratnagar on Saturday.
According to reports from the Udayapur District Police Office, the accident involved an uncontrolled pickup truck bearing registration number Pradesh 2-01-0015, which collided with an electric pole on the roadside. Regrettably, Khatri, who was riding in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
The authorities further revealed that the driver of the pickup truck, Suresh Karki, aged 38, from Chaudandi Gadhi Municipality-6 in Udayapur, was accompanied by his 14-year-old daughter, who also sustained injuries in the accident.
In response to the tragic incident, Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep sorrow and sympathy for the loss of the dedicated police officer. Khatri emphasized the importance of road safety measures and urged authorities to take stringent actions to prevent such accidents in the future.
