London – Following unexpected health issues faced by British monarch Prince Charles, the scheduled program for Nepali Ambassador to the UK, Chandra Kumar Ghimire, to present his credentials to the King has been canceled. The Ambassador was set to present his letter of credence to the monarch on Wednesday. The cancellation of the program came after concerns arose regarding the health of Prince Charles.
The Prince’s health problem has led to a reshuffling of engagements and appointments, with the ceremony to receive the credentials from the Nepali Ambassador being among the affected events. Amidst the uncertainty surrounding the Prince’s health, the Nepali diplomatic mission in the UK is in close contact with the British authorities to monitor the situation.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his views on the matter, stating that the cancellation of the credential presentation due to Prince Charles’s health concerns highlights the importance of ensuring the well-being of individuals in positions of authority. Khatri emphasized the significance of prioritizing health and well-being, even in diplomatic protocol, and wished Prince Charles a swift recovery.
