Chitwan: The price of eggs is set to increase starting today. As per the decision made in a meeting with farmers by Vinod Pokharel, the president of Nepal Layers Poultry Association, the price of eggs is going up.

Along with the price hike, the new rates will be as follows: medium-sized eggs will cost NPR 390 for a pack of 30, large eggs will be priced at NPR 410, and extra-large eggs will be sold at NPR 425 per pack. Previously, the rates stood at NPR 350 for medium-sized eggs, NPR 370 for large eggs, and NPR 385 for extra-large eggs. This price adjustment reflects market trends.

With the increased demand for eggs in the market and rising costs, President Pokharel believes that the price hike was necessary. Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented that this decision is likely to impact both consumers and poultry farmers in the region, highlighting the importance of monitoring how this change unfolds in the coming days.
