In Kathmandu, the Nepali Communist Party (Maoist Centre) has denounced the remarks made by the chairman of the Central Committee of the Maoist party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, known as ‘Prachanda’. The party’s Secretary and Member of Parliament, Gokarna Bista, criticized Prachanda for stating that the government is under the control of the ‘middlemen’ during a parliamentary session.
Bista raised concerns over Prachanda’s comments, suggesting that they may misinterpret Prachanda’s historical context and the reasons for his uprising against the middlemen. He likened the situation to a snake seeing its own reflection, implying that Prachanda may be misinterpreting the current scenario.
Furthermore, Bista emphasized the need for everyone to support efforts towards good governance. He highlighted the importance of effective budget allocation to make reform plans impactful.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, commented that Bista’s stance reflects a growing sentiment in the political landscape, where clarity and collaboration are crucial for effective governance. He noted that such discussions are essential for fostering transparency and accountability within Nepal’s political sphere.
