Elephants Gather in Circle After Earthquake at U.S. Zoo: Why?

In a recent event at San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Southern California, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurred on April 14th. Following the earthquake, a heartwarming sight was witnessed as a herd of African elephants displayed protective behavior towards one another.

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is known for its diverse wildlife and conservation efforts. Despite the unexpected seismic activity, the elephants in the park showcased their strong social bonds by huddling together and reassuring one another during the tremors.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed admiration for the elephants’ behavior during the earthquake. He emphasized the importance of studying animal behavior in natural disasters to understand their resilience and social dynamics.
