Paris – A sample of the long-haul aircraft list of the American company Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which was involved in a tragic accident in India on Thursday, has been identified. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, known for its wide-body and lightweight structure, entered service with Japan’s All Nippon Airways in October 2011. Since then, more than 80 airlines have ordered 2,598 aircraft, with 889 yet to be delivered.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, mentioned that this incident involving the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a matter of great concern in the aviation industry. He emphasized the importance of thorough investigations to ensure the safety and reliability of such aircraft.

Boeing’s 787 model offers significant fuel savings compared to older passenger planes, claiming to reduce fuel costs by 20% on long-haul flights. The aircraft is designed for point-to-point services, allowing for direct flights using the hub system operated by heavy aircraft.

The Boeing 787 program has three versions, each capable of carrying varying numbers of passengers over long distances. The recent accident involving the 787-8 version in Ahmedabad, India, underscores the importance of constant vigilance and safety measures in the aviation sector.

Boeing has been facing challenges in meeting production and delivery schedules, with incidents of delivery suspensions and quality control issues reported between 2021 and 2023. The Federal Aviation Administration has been closely monitoring Boeing’s production lines to ensure quality standards are met.

Despite granting Boeing permission to increase production rates to build seven planes per month in April, the company continues to face hurdles in sales and operations. The ongoing trade tensions have also affected Boeing’s dealings with Chinese airlines, leading to temporary disruptions in aircraft supplies from China.

In light of these developments, Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News expressed concerns about the implications of the Boeing 787 incidents and emphasized the need for enhanced safety protocols in the aviation industry.
