Exciting Art Exhibition ‘ART OF MIKU’ Coming to Kobe’s Old Foreign Settlement – Barney’s New York

A contemporary art exhibition featuring the popular character ‘Hatsune Miku’ is set to take place at the “Barneys New York Kobe Store,” located in the former foreign settlement area. The event, titled “ART OF MIKU for BARNEYS NEW YORK,” will showcase various artworks centered around Hatsune Miku and other Piapro characters, created by a range of modern artists.

Following a successful preview event held at the Roppongi store in November 2024, the upcoming exhibition in Kobe will feature new artists joining in, enhancing the display with fresh creations available for both viewing and purchase. Notably, the main visual artwork by Takahashi Maho, previously exhibited at the Roppongi store, will also be showcased at the event.

One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the collaboration merchandise between “ART OF MIKU” and Barneys New York, including exclusive items such as goods featuring Takahashi Maho’s main visual design, as well as newly created “Art Miku” goods by the artist Kei Mochizuki. Additionally, a variety of other related “ART OF MIKU” merchandise will be available for purchase.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive limited edition stickers by posting on “X” or “Instagram” with designated hashtags. Furthermore, visitors who make purchases exceeding 55,000 yen (tax included), including “ART OF MIKU” merchandise, at the Barneys New York Kobe Store during the event period will receive a complimentary original T-shirt, while supplies last.

The exhibition is scheduled to run from February 7th to 23rd, 2025, from 11:00 to 19:00 daily at the Barneys New York Kobe Store. Admission is free with no prior registration or application required, although entry may be subject to restrictions through the distribution of numbered tickets in case of overcrowding.

Among the expected artists showcasing new works are Nakabikura, Tajima Haruki, and ONOTAKU. Art pieces will be available for purchase both in-store at the Barneys New York Kobe Store and online through the official Barneys New York website, with applications starting on February 7th at 11:00 am.

For those interested, a preview of the new artworks scheduled for display is available on the official website. Exclusive collaboration items with Barneys New York and other unique products not found elsewhere will also be on offer, making it a must-visit event for fans and art enthusiasts alike.
