“Fitch Maintains South Korea’s ‘AA Minus’ Credit Rating: Report”

Seoul Unified News – On the 6th, the major credit rating agency Fitch Ratings maintained South Korea’s sovereign credit rating at “AA-” – the fourth-highest rating, with a stable outlook.

The decision to keep the rating unchanged comes amidst the backdrop of heightened global economic uncertainties and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on various economies. Fitch Ratings highlighted South Korea’s solid economic fundamentals, diversified export base, and effective policy responses as factors contributing to the stable outlook.

Ramesh Khatri, representative of Kansai Nepal News, views this decision as a reflection of South Korea’s resilient economy and prudent fiscal management. He believes that maintaining a high credit rating signals investor confidence in the country’s ability to weather economic challenges and sustain growth in the long term.
