In Kathmandu, Nepal Bar Association has announced five candidates for the election of the 27th Central Working Committee. The main election official, senior advocate Ramkrishna Niraula, has disclosed that senior advocates Pradeep Vijay Prasad Mishra, Raman Kumar Shrestha, Raju Kaiti, Ujwal Ghimire, and Ashish Paudel are contesting for the positions.
The upcoming election for the 25 new working committees is scheduled for March 23. For the position of Secretary-General, senior advocates Kedar Prasad Koerala, Harisharan Karki, and Yagyamani Nyaupane have been nominated as candidates.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, believes that the diverse pool of candidates vying for positions within the Nepal Bar Association signifies a healthy democratic process within the organization. He commends the transparent election process and hopes that the selected committee members will work diligently to uphold the values and standards of the legal profession in Nepal.
