In an incident at the Gauritar Rangashala in Ward 16 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City in Makwanpur, Nepal, the police apprehended five individuals engaged in gambling activities on Tuesday afternoon. The operation was carried out by the District Police Office in Makwanpur and the Area Police Office in Pashupatinagar.
The individuals were found gambling at Damodar Chaulagai’s residence in Juwatas, and upon their arrest, they were confiscated with a sum of NPR 81,390 in cash along with 360 playing cards. Additionally, the police also seized two motorcycles bearing registration numbers Ba.Pa.03-005 P 2820 and Pr.03-003-001 P 589.
Authorities have initiated further investigations into the matter to uncover any potential links or additional details related to the gambling activities. The incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to curb illegal gambling practices in the region.
Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed his concern over the prevalence of such illegal activities and emphasized the importance of enforcing strict laws to maintain public order and safety in local communities. He urged authorities to take necessary measures to deter individuals from engaging in unlawful behavior that could negatively impact society.
