Kathmandu: Due to the suspension of public transportation in the Kathmandu Valley, the Nepal Police have initiated the operation of two bus services on Monday to facilitate the movement of stranded passengers.

One bus will operate from Swayambhu, Kalanki, Kalimati, Tripureshwor, Ratnapark to Koteshwor, while the other will travel from Swayambhu, Kalanki, Satdobato, Koteshwor to Maharajgunj, making a circular route.

The free bus service, provided by the private sector in response to the closure of transportation services, aims to ensure that the general public can reach their destinations. The initiative was communicated by the Nepal Police Headquarters.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed that the introduction of these temporary bus services reflects a commendable effort by the authorities to address the transportation challenges faced by the public during the suspension of regular bus operations in Kathmandu.
