Free Event: Learn from Pro Designers at KITTO’s ‘Designers25/26’ Talk Event

Designers25/26 is an upcoming talk event set to take place at the Kobe Design Creative Center (KIITO), featuring prominent designers sharing insights on their craft, techniques, and creative expressions. Scheduled for February 1, 2025, this event will delve into the themes of “Incorporating Variables” for Designers25 and “Engaging with Materials” for Designers26.

Designers is a platform that invites individuals involved in diverse design activities as guests to share their work, methodologies, and design philosophies through engaging conversations with familiar interviewers. This 25th and 26th edition will feature editor Tomomi Tada as the interviewer, focusing on the theme of “Interpretation for Design.”

Designers25 will showcase guest speakers Ayuko Inaba and Katsunobu Yoshida from Yoshikatsu Production, along with web designer Yota Shiraishi. Inaba and Yoshida, based in Yamagata, are known for their experimental designs using fieldwork and prototyping techniques, while Shiraishi creates playful web designs. The event aims to explore perspectives beyond rationality and clarity in viewing and shaping design elements.

For Designers26, Satoko Kobiyama from Yama Foods and Ryohei Yoshiyuki, a product and furniture maker, will be the guest speakers. Kobiyama specializes in expressive representations related to food through catering, spatial design, and artwork production, while Yoshiyuki creates products and furniture inspired by daily life experiences and materials. Their discussions will offer insights into their creative processes and philosophies.

The event will take place at the Kobe Design Creative Center, providing an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about design. With free admission and the chance to hear from experienced designers, it’s a valuable experience for anyone interested in the world of design.
