Frequent accidents causing deaths in public transportation – 8 people killed

Several fatal accidents have occurred in different regions of Nepal, including Kathmandu, Rupandehi, Sarlahi, Morang, Dang, and Kailali. In one such tragic incident in Kathmandu, a collision between two motorcycles resulted in the death of 18-year-old Riwaj Acharya from Bhutkhel, Nuwakot. He was the rider of one of the motorcycles involved in the accident.

Riwaj Acharya was rushed to Grandy Hospital in Dhapasi for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The other motorcyclist involved in the accident is also undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Similarly, in Rupandehi, a 27-year-old man named Milan Gurung lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11.

In Sarlahi, a heartbreaking incident took place in Baluwabhar, where a 5-year-old boy named Piyush Kumar Sah, the son of Rameshwar Sah, lost his life after being hit by a speeding vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and authorities are currently searching for the culprit.

Moving on to Morang, a 24-year-old man named Ashish Rai from Udayapur lost his life in an accident involving an out-of-control ambulance in Budiganga Rural Municipality-3. The incident occurred as the ambulance was heading towards Nemuvatar from Ganga Chok.

In Dang, a tragic accident took place in Gaurishankar Toll of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-9, where a 9-year-old girl named Dipshika Wali from Salyan Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality-2 lost her life after being hit by a tractor. The driver of the tractor fled the scene, and authorities are conducting a search operation to locate him.

Lastly, in Kailali, a 35-year-old man named Sudip Rana from Kanchanpur Krishnapur Municipality-4 lost his life in an accident involving an uncontrolled Scorpio vehicle on the road from Attariya to Mahendranagar in Malakheti Chok.

Ramesh Khatri, a representative of Kansai Nepal News, expressed deep sorrow over these tragic accidents and emphasized the need for increased road safety measures to prevent such devastating incidents in the future.
