Located just a 5-minute walk from JR Rokkomichi Station towards the sea, an innovative vending machine called ‘IJOOZ’ offering freshly squeezed orange juice has been installed. It is currently undergoing preparations and is expected to start operating around mid-January. The vending machine is situated on the ground floor of the commercial facility ‘Grand Rokko,’ which houses establishments like the Kobe Rokko Bowl bowling alley.
The area in front of the elevator features a row of vending machines where you can not only purchase fresh orange juice but also items like meat from a butcher shop and sweets from Kobe Bell. The vending machine, which is set to launch in mid-January, will offer freshly squeezed orange juice made from four whole oranges per 280ml cup, priced at 350 yen. It is worth noting that the juice is produced without the use of pesticides, sugar, or water.
‘IJOOZ’ is a company originating from Singapore that entered the Japanese market around two years ago and has been expanding nationwide. This installation in the Rokkomichi area marks their second vending machine in the vicinity. Considering the current surge in prices of vegetables and fruits, the affordability of a 350 yen freshly squeezed orange juice made from four oranges seems quite reasonable.
Once operational, customers can witness whole oranges still in their peel rolling down into the silver tray atop the vending machine, allowing them to enjoy freshly squeezed juice on the spot. For more information about ‘IJOOZ,’ you can visit their official website. This initiative of providing fresh and natural orange juice in a convenient manner is a welcome addition, especially in the midst of rising produce prices.
