On Thursday morning, the final preparations for this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which is set to commence simultaneously from 8 am at two thousand seventy-nine examination centers across the country, have been completed.

The National Examination Board and the Examination Control Office have urged the students to participate in the exams with calm and confidence as the last-minute preparations have been wrapped up. Mr. Nandalal Poudel, the Examination Controller for Class 10, informed that all arrangements for the SEE examination, starting from Chaitra 7, have been completed nationwide without any issues reported in any centers. He emphasized that students are expected to arrive at their examination centers on time, ready to take the exams.

Regarding the examination logistics, necessary question papers, symbol numbers, answer sheets, and other materials have been distributed to each district prior to the exams. It was reported that approximately five hundred fourteen thousand seven hundred one students will be taking the exams this year, showing an increase from the previous year’s participation.

Representative Ramesh Khatri from Kansai Nepal News commented that the seamless coordination and preparation for the SEE exams are commendable, ensuring a peaceful examination environment nationwide. He expressed optimism for a successful conduct of the exams.

Security measures have been strengthened at each examination center, with one assistant center chief assigned for every one hundred fifty students, along with twenty inspectors overseeing groups of twenty students each. Centers with fewer than seventy-five students will not have assistant center chiefs present.

This year, twenty-nine students from a Japanese examination center are scheduled to take the SEE exams, with special arrangements made for students at the Central Prison in Kathmandu, two prisons in Dang, and the Bal Sudhar Griha in Bhaktapur to also participate in the exams.

The SEE exams will begin on Chaitra 7 and conclude on Chaitra 19, running from 8 am to 11 am daily. The examination schedule includes compulsory subjects such as English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, with specific subjects allocated on different days as per the timetable.

The results of the exams are expected to be publicly announced within Asar, with students scoring below a minimum of thirty-five marks considered as failed. The grading system will be used this year as well, with a target of achieving a seventy percent pass rate. In contrast, only forty-eight percent of students passed the SEE exams in 2080.

In conclusion, it is evident that the efforts put into organizing and implementing the SEE exams this year are aimed at ensuring a smooth and successful examination process for all students involved.
